At Celtic Winter Faire, we believe the wonder of a fantasy festival should never come at the expense of fairness, dignity, or access. The Fair Faire Pledge is our public commitment to running a magical event that honors the work, creativity, and needs of everyone involved — from performers and vendors to guests and staff.

✨ FAIR PAY FOR ALL

Everyone working at the Celtic Winter Faire — whether behind the scenes, in the spotlight, or in the crowd — is paid for their time and expertise.
We do not use unpaid volunteers or “exposure” opportunities. Every costume, every conversation, and every bit of the experience you enjoy has been brought to life by paid professionals.

🎭 PERFORMERS ARE NOT PASSING THE HAT

Our musicians, characters, and entertainers are contracted and compensated fairly.
We don’t ask them to rely on tips, and we negotiate all contracts with mutual respect and transparency.

🎟️ ONE TICKET, FULL EXPERIENCE

Your admission includes access to 100% of our in-house programming — no extra charges for our main attractions.
The only exceptions are:

• Optional hands-on craft workshops (with a modest fee to cover materials only)

• Tournaments (which may have a nominal entry fee)

📣 VENDOR FEES GO TOWARD GROWTH, NOT PROFIT

All vendor site fees are fully reinvested into marketing and promotion for the faire — not used for profit.
Our goal is to help our vendors thrive by bringing more guests to the gate and more traffic to every booth.

🧵 VENDORS WHO PAY FAIRLY GET PRIORITY

As part of our jury selection, we give preference to vendors who pay their staff a fair wage rather than relying on unpaid labor.
We want our faire to be filled with creators and craftspeople who value and support their teams.

♿ ACCESSIBILITY IS NOT AN AFTERTHOUGHT

From the moment we first walked the site, accessibility has guided our decisions.
The Celtic Winter Faire takes place in a location with concrete or asphalt paths reaching 100% of booths and activities — ensuring that guests with mobility needs can fully participate in the experience.

This is just one of many choices we make to ensure everyone feels welcome.
